How I can help:
As an End of Life Doula and Dementia Support Practitioner, I work alongside medical and care professionals and families to provide additional support where needed.
I offer emotional support through compassionate presence, deep listening, and holding space for difficult conversations and feelings.
I assist with advance planning, including ADRT (Advance Decision to Refuse Treatment), which allows you to make decisions about your end-of-life care and address your practical, emotional, and spiritual needs. It is personalised and outlines your wishes if you become unable to make decisions for yourself.
I work to ensure that your wishes are heard, respected, and followed by your care team and those important to you.
I also help plan for after-death arrangements, including funeral planning.
Throughout the dying process, I provide companionship, respite, and presence.
After death, I support families by assisting with the care of the deceased, handling death registration paperwork and funeral arrangements, and offering emotional support to loved ones.
This list is not exhaustive, and my role as a Doula is broad, so there may be specific needs not listed here that I can still assist with. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or support requests.
